  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 8 large romaine or butter lettuce leaves
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 tsp Sriracha sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add sesame oil and sauté minced garlic and diced onion until fragrant (about 2-3 minutes).
  2. Increase heat slightly, add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned (5-7 minutes).
  3. Pour in low-sodium soy sauce and add shredded carrots; stir well and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Wash lettuce leaves thoroughly and dry them. Spoon the beef mixture into each leaf.
  5. Top with chopped green onions and drizzle Sriracha if desired. Serve immediately.
