Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup water (adjust for desired consistency)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients to streamline the blending process.
  2. Rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water.
  3. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, salt, and half of the olive oil.
  4. Blend on high until smooth; add water gradually until you reach the desired creaminess.
  5. Adjust seasoning if needed; drizzle in remaining olive oil while blending.
  6. Serve immediately with fresh veggies or pita chips. Garnish with olive oil or paprika.
