- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onion until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in ground beef; cook until browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper with the beef mixture.
- Stuff each cooked pasta shell generously with filling.
- Spread marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange stuffed shells in the dish and top with remaining sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
