  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions until translucent. Stir in minced garlic.
  3. Add ground beef, cooking until browned; break it apart with a spoon.
  4. Mix in diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Combine cooked pasta and half of the cheddar cheese into the beef mixture.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with remaining cheddar and Parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 minutes until bubbly.
