Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups diced apples (preferably Granny Smith)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm apple cider with active dry yeast and let it sit until bubbly.
  2. Add flour, granulated sugar, melted butter, and milk to the yeast mixture, mixing until a sticky dough forms. Knead for about 8 minutes until smooth; let rise until doubled in size.
  3. While the dough rises, mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; add diced apples.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread melted butter over it and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  5. Roll up the dough tightly from one edge to form a log; cut into equal pieces.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise until puffy (about 30 minutes).
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk; drizzle over cooled rolls.
