Description

Jalapeño Popper Chicken Taquitos are a flavor-packed snack that perfectly combines spicy jalapeños, creamy cheeses, and tender chicken, all wrapped in a crispy tortilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, diced
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 8 flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
  2. Once cooled, shred chicken in a bowl and mix with jalapeños, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, cumin, and garlic powder until fully combined.
  3. Spoon filling onto each tortilla and roll tightly from one end to secure the filling.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry taquitos seam-side down for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with salsa or sour cream.
