Description

Spicy Shrimp & Avocado Phyllo Cups are a perfect blend of zesty shrimp and creamy avocado, all nestled in flaky phyllo pastry. These delightful bites are sure to impress at any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly brush phyllo sheets with olive oil and cut into squares.
  2. Place squares into muffin tins to form cups. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté shrimp seasoned with salt, pepper, and chili powder until pink and opaque.
  4. In a bowl, mash avocados with lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Once shrimp cool slightly, chop into bite-sized pieces and fold into the avocado mixture.
  6. Fill each phyllo cup with the shrimp-avocado mixture and garnish with additional cilantro before serving.
